The most interesting line for me was where he said that their user base and the meet up groups quality improved dramatically once they started charging.
And I assume their expenses also went down since their traffic/bandwidth decreased.
Of course, it is worth noting, that meetup.com does offer a one-month free trial and that they are a continuity program -- so the parameters are different then saying selling a line of eight ebooks or something of that nature.
